For a band, such as Foals, that focus more on producing complex layers of rhythm and tones, the lyrics are a minimized way of adding to the complexity; the vocals seem to never distract from the music but add a specific layer to the sound . I don't really think it was a lack of creativity, but a stylistic thing.
I've never liked 'modern' music up until now, if this is how music is going to be in the next few years. ..I'm in!

´What's this ch-ch-check? (this is the only line I'm not sure about)´
such an amusing debate over this line at the foals forum
my favourite one is ´what´s that jackie chan!?´
This songs great, a brilliant single
i... i was fully hearing "we fry balloons on a steel collar." and then "why's it feel cold?" instead of "what's the fuel called?"
your interpretation makes a lot more sense
hahaha i thought it was something to do with 'steel' too
In the album's booklet it says: "What's a chkacha!" What he actually says: "What's the temperature!" They wrote it that way on the booklet because that's just what it sounded like and what everyone shouted so it just stuck.
I keep listening to this song and trying to find where you think it says temperature...but I stil can't find it. he just says chkacha. what the fck is a chkacha?

omg, yeah, 'what's the temperature' fits! although 'chkacha' fits even more xD
think the "What's this chkacha?" is actually "why dont you take a chair"
