Never Seen the Light of Day Lyrics
She knows that if she ever breaks free
That she will never see the light of day
She’s been blinded by the stars and Dreams she craved
And if they ever let her go
She'll still be bound to all her fears
And all the medicine they forced her to take
On and on and on she goes
On and on and on she goes
But she will never ever ever find love
Unless she takes on a fight
Along with the northern light
They found her in the basement facing east
Howling wolves and inhailing beast
Were strangling every little dream she had in there
And if she ever finds her way
They will haunt her through the day
Until she breaks and then becomes one of them, cause
On and on………
Yeah..
On and on………
She knows
That if she ever let go
She will only lose her soul
There’s no way out of this hell. Yeah
That she will never see the light of day
She’s been blinded by the stars and Dreams she craved
And if they ever let her go
She'll still be bound to all her fears
And all the medicine they forced her to take
On and on and on she goes
But she will never ever ever find love
Unless she takes on a fight
Along with the northern light
Howling wolves and inhailing beast
Were strangling every little dream she had in there
And if she ever finds her way
They will haunt her through the day
Until she breaks and then becomes one of them, cause
That if she ever let go
She will only lose her soul
There’s no way out of this hell. Yeah

Gustaf talked about this song in an interview recently. He said that it was about an incident in Borlänge. A girl was together with a guy, and the guy took to much drugs. The guy and his brother started to belive that the girl was against them, so they locked her in a basement and tortured her. The police found out after a week or so. This happened very close to Gustaf's home, and he knew who the guys were since he had gone to the same school as them. But whenever he saw them, he used to walk another way. He said that you could say that it was about a girl breaking free from a bad realtionship.
oh no, no one has editted what this songs means yet, and I was so curious! It seems to me about a muslim woman living in a fundamental country, having dreams about freedom but knowing that every little attempt to break free would mean punishment. Just my idea....
Oh, I belive in that idea actually.
This song can be taken many ways I guess.
I think the song is about a girl, who is to afraid of leaving the life she has in order to obtain the one, because she is unable to take care of herself, which in the end would cost her more.
I saw an interview and the meaning is something to this effect: this song is actually about the album, because I guess the band had trouble with the label and they didn't think the album would ever be released, so in making it they made it as if it would never be released and they called it "never seen the light of day" because they knew it might never see the light of day.
