Half In Love With Elizabeth

I'm quite positive antontronbon (7.17.09) knows of that he speaks. It's a song about a loser, for no one who grasps the concept of true love could be in love with two different people at the same time unless it's the type of love a parent has for his/her children.

Does anybody else think The Crucible? As in, John Proctor being torn between Abigail and Elizabeth. 'The bubble will burst' could be the witch hunt that comes from it and the fact that his fling comes all out in the open. I dunno, but it's an idea we could add to the bunch!

omg omg omg. this song is like they are talking to my ex girlfriend. we broke up due to long distance, etc, but we remained with the affection we had for each other, and we hope (maybe hoped, i don't know myself anymore) to meet this year again to see what's up, and maybe wait till both of us are at one place......but in the meanwhile, I've met a girl named Elizabeth :P. First time I'm hearing this song, and it's so freaking strange. Like they are talking to my ex-gf, which I miss :( (have to say not as much as before, b/c of Elizabeth)

This song is about a guy who is torn between his girlfriend and his career, hence as someone said about elisabeth being the queen on money etc. He always sleeps in his clothes becuase he's such a hard core businessman that he is ready to go to work as soon as he wakes up. His girlfriend is much more involved than she is in the relationship- he carries her photo but she is the one troubled by their problems.

I pretty much think that this song revolves around a guy who's more in love with money & career than he is with his wife. therefore the "half in love with Elizabeth, half in love with you". But how can you put your trust In a man who always sleeps in his clothes? Clearly he sleeps in his clothes (like in the video) because he wants to go to work as soon as he wakes up, and the way he cuts out all of Elizabeth's faces and all. but anyway this song is just brilliant!

I personally think this song is about some who gambles... and she wants him to stop but he cant because he loves money - Elizabeth? Maybe?

Yeah, first time I heard this it was like they were talking about me and my ex-boyfriend (but more at the time when we were actually together). He liked someone of that name and so it resulted in our break-up twice. I was freaked out but we're still mates and we had a laugh about the weirdness of it. If I had heard it at the time of all the hurt, i would have probably listened to it way more as to wallow in my saddness haha. the bubble burst alright.

I think this songs relates to almost anyone whos been in a relationship/has had love interests

I cheated on my bf, with my best friend, and dumped him because of it, but i got back with him cause i realised i was still in love with him, but i have become in love with my best friend at the same time

and whenever im confused, i listen to this song and it helps me, cause i feel like the guy in this song
