I'll Meet You There Someday Lyrics

Climb up a mountain
Just to watch it come down
Sooner or later babe, gonna need me around
But you getting older
Ain't no stopping that
It's a back-stabbing world honey
Just lean your head back

It's Foolin' me, yeah yeah
It's like a dream, you see
but if the world is right
I'll drive all night
Meet you there someday

Six in the morrning
Never felt so sweet
Just put on your Lucinda baby
And dance with me
I know I'm hard to count on
Forget half what I'm told
You probably only know my voice
From a goddamn microphone

It's Foolin' me, yeah yeah
It's like a dream to see
but if the world is right
I'll drive all night
Meet you there someday

It's a fucking waste, yeah yeah
A Teenage taste of me
But if daddy cries
just say goodnight
meet you there someday
meet you there someday

i would like to know what is lucinda baby? i searched everywhere n i really don't know. Is that a parfum from someone known?

I'm not positive, as I'd like to know who Lucinda is as well, but I'm guessing that he's saying, "Put on Lucinda" and then calling whoever he's singing about baby, thus "Lucinda baby". I have no idea who Lucinda is, but I'm just guessing that she's famous for maybe a romantic song(s) or something, since the song sounds to me like it's about a romance. Hope that helps.(:

Probably Lucinda Williams.

I heard this song was to his daughter and how he saw himself in her but i'm not even sure he has a daughter but if you listen to the studio recording (cuz the lyrics are slightly different) with that in mind it makes a LOT of sense

"Just put on Lucinda baby and dance with me" - he is referring to Lucinda Williams.

In concert he said he had a fiancé and an 8 month old daughter and he wrote this song on the road and that it was about ending up on the beach somewhere with your lady drinking Margaritas.
