I think this is about breaking up with someone, but it kind of doesn't seem real yet. She's still got things of his, and he still has things of hers and i think its saying that they're always going to have things to bind them. Really good song.

It's the whole "dream" state after a breakup, where it's come as such a shock or so suddenly that it's like it's not real. Hence, "someone wake me up."
