No Jesus Christ

I think people are making too big of a deal about this song. I see it as him refering to an ex who is self centered beyond means, feeling she can tell people what to do and how to act. He is simply reminding her she is not Jesus, she is just a weak person with more to hide than anyone.

Yea its pretty much about amy lee I saw her at a korn concert and she acted like she was the headliner not korn while everry1 else was all supporting korn and stuff but yea this is one of my favorite songs

To me this song is about how condesending christians are to people who dont go to church and specifically follow the path that they are choosing them selves. such as when he says "Before you hedge those bets you placed against me" Such as when christians think someone is a lowlife because they look it - doesnt mean they are... Such as thinking someone is going to fail because they dont walk the path they do.

That leads me to "You're so quick to choose the path walked by the righteous So you can go and nest among the weak" To me this means that he thinks christians are so quick to pick up the bible and believe what they are told so they can be part of the crowd and not seem like they are doing something wrong.

As for the line "Your verbal defecation i can't wash away despite myself Your vanity, it seems, has served you well" Verbal defecation, again, putting someone down, which christians do quite often to non believers, and how they do it in vain to make them selves look like better people.

On a side note, i have nothing against christians. I do have a problem with christians that do the above things i just spoke of, this is just my interpretation, if i offended someone, so be it, but like i said, nothing against christians, just a certain type of them.

i've actually never thought about this being about amy lee, but it makes sense now that i think about it.

i always thought it maybe was about jesus himself. him saying "you're no jesus christ" because maybe jesus isn't as great as, you know, JESUS. not really the person, but the image people have of him. i probably sound dumb, and i'm probably wrong but it's just a thought.

I used to want to ask my ex "Does it ever hurt your neck to look down off your high horse?" Instead I can just send her this song. : )

He's said it's not about Amy. The only song on the album about her was "Breakdown". Shaun said this was about another girl. But yeah, it's about the girl who thinks she's all that and has everyone wrapped around her finger.

this is a response to ''call me when your sober'' when i listened to that, knowing it was about him (no dissrespect to them musically) i thought she was bbeing a little self centered bich, and then i hear this. i'm not taking sides, but, all shaun was saying was ''every one has flaws, even you, shut the fck up'' alcoholism is a disease, at least he got help.
