Hangover Song (feat. Anthony Green) Lyrics
I mean nothing,
Only nothing.
There's nothing I can do about that.
I've accepted my place in the back.
This is not the place or time to snap.
I awaken, to the bacon, she's preparing for me in the pan,
But I'm spinning, my head cannot stand effects from when the night began.
And I screw my life up evermore,
as I puke my lungs out on the floor,
and I fuck my life up evermore,
as I shit my heart out on the floor.
YEAH!
Only nothing.
There's nothing I can do about that.
I've accepted my place in the back.
This is not the place or time to snap.
But I'm spinning, my head cannot stand effects from when the night began.
as I puke my lungs out on the floor,
and I fuck my life up evermore,
as I shit my heart out on the floor.

I got a little edgar alla poe feeling the first time I heard this song. with the re-occurring "evermore"
(poe's the raven has a re-occurring "nevermore") =P
dont think max thought bout that while writing the song but I still got that feeling. =p
on the contrary, bambi, i'm certain the recurring "evermore" motif was inspired by edgar allan poe.
this is a beautiful snippet of a song, marred, i think, by the throwing up sound effect. i felt it wasn't necessary. this song, like the beatles' "I Will," is one that i wish was much longer. Oh well. It's a good 59-seconds of glory.
additionally, i'd say the first half is musically tango-inspired.
the second parts by far my favourite
obviously a sequel to have at thee, he got drunk the night before and is now hungover, thinking about it i dont think he dumped her, otherwise the 'i awaken to the bacon, shes preparing for me' comment would be stupid, unless its like his roomate? or mum? or friend?
the fact that this song is only a minute long pisses me off. what happened to 4 - 4:30 ? or the 7 min epics? :(
i wish Anthony Green was on a longer song, but still i like this song
I love this song, but i have a phobia of throwing up (ive never done it before, and theres been some trauma in my past) which makes me not want to play the whole song. The first time i heard it... it caught me off guard....it really doesnt need the sound FX in it.
I think the puking is a nice touch in the song. But Anthony Green definently needed a longer spot on this album, because he's got an absolutely KILLER voice (and was named Vocalist of the Year by AP Magazine's editors)
The puking is the best part of the song. It just adds to the greatness.
I really really really still love this song <3
