A Toast to Bad Taste Lyrics
expressions on their faces-
just reactions to the situation.
resist the machine
as long as time allows you to breathe
just like the Lion and the Lamb-
yea, but only in real life
you won't see hunter and prey polluting the same space
ooo afraid to go
ooo but i can't speak for myself
just like the blind leading the blind-
yea, but only in real life
you can't see the lives that we lead
when you've lost your will to be
the machine sucks you in
and spits you out
ooo but i can't speak for myself
force fed my own blood,
i'll drink to bad taste
a toast to bad taste
just reactions to the situation.
resist the machine
as long as time allows you to breathe
yea, but only in real life
you won't see hunter and prey polluting the same space
ooo but i can't speak for myself
yea, but only in real life
you can't see the lives that we lead
when you've lost your will to be
and spits you out
ooo but i can't speak for myself
i'll drink to bad taste

Whoa. At first I was like, "What king of song name is A Toast To Bad Taste?" But I gave it a try and ended up lovin' the song! Listen to it! Uh, what it means? Couldn't tell you that...my sister thinks it has something to do with government...don't know why though. But maybe. At least she has a guess. Maybe its like that sweet movie V For Vendetta...Nah...Or maybe, I dunno! Someone help, I can't decide! I'm not good at this!
Shut the fuck up stupid bitch
Oh and V For Vendetta sucks balls that movie was terrible.
What's your problem, Paradiso? Show some respect. V was a decent movie anyway.
Not sure what the song means, though. It's railing against some sort of corrupted status quo... whether it's specifically government or corporations or just "the world," I don't know.
and who are you to tell him what to do. the fact of the matter is, BenefitOfTheDoubt said nothing wrong and for you to get worked up, let alone cuss at him, exposes more of your character than his. if you have any moral integrity and remote intellect, you would apologize and shutup and take your verbal filth somewhere more accepting.
oh and good song by the way.
This song is really confusing, especially how people are having a conversation about something that really doesn't matter.
Um, well, maybe a bad relationship? You can tell that the narrator is hurt about something. There's some Bible references though (ex: "lion and lamb") so maybe he's giving up on religion? Come on peeps!
I think that thepianominstrel hit the mark on this one. The song is about people (mainly Christians) following the status quo of the mainstream world when they should be influencing others on a better lifestyle. Instead of doing this however we have the "blind leading the blind" It also talks about how as Christians we shouldn't be hanging around and being influenced by the evils in the world instead of living in God. "you won't see hunter and prey polluting the same space." That's just me though, I could be wrong on some stuff.
I reckon this song is about resisting Government and the bullshit they feed us. & how everyone like conforms to the law and shit and "the machine" are the lies of the country and the police. Could be wrong tho. Oh, nd V for Vendetta is an amazing movie, It has a deep meaning and is oh so very true. Detention Centers and Bishops that fuck lil girls. being imprisoned in your own body full of hate, & standing up for the country when the governent fails to give a shit. I adore V =]
I agree with The Blastority, like how Christians think that since they have God, they're so much better than the non-christians.
Proof: "just like the Lion and the Lamb- yea, but only in real life you won't see hunter and prey polluting the same space "
Self-explanatory from above haha
The song is about the music industry... "resisting the machine" is them (Far-Less) keeping to their individual music style and not conforming. As far as the Lion and the Lamb that has to do with how mainstream music and anything other clash. "But I can't speak for myself," that line is about the independence you lose when you allow the industry to control your musical direction. Think about it; Far-Less is an extremely talented small town band struggling because they wont change themselves.
