this song is good and everything, but i wish they hadn't included it on their new cd along w/ the instrumental intro. because with those 2, jumping on rooftops and the live version of it hurts... there's really only 9 new songs. which is disappointing...
but eh well theyr 9 phenomenal new songs.
I think the explanation for all the ye eh oh rubbish is because this whole cd seems like a story... try peicing together all the songs together and seems to play out like a whole story. Check it out. possibly a prelude to a movie?
this version of the first original "Star of Bethlehem" is a good one and suits the album a bit better. however i wasnt too happy when they cut it into two parts :(,but i guess it was for the best.
I'm curious about why in the lyrics booklet when it says "and the lights they peer out" it says PIER like a pier at a beach....

All of those listed above are acoustic Except for It Hurts, which is live and is REALLY loud.
I love this song, I've noticed almost every song on this album has the word love in it in some way. This one is my favorite though. I'm not sure what it is about, but for me, the refrain is a motivation to kind of be bigger then everyone else im with, to be something greater then striving for mediocrity, to be that light in someone else's world.

this song is simply amazing. nothing more to be said. to hell with anyone who thinks its a rip of U2. it is its own song. the biggest similarity as far as im concerned is the long intro, which is one of the reasons its an amazing song. that and the "what are you waiting for?...She's scared...Shes a star...burning across...the nighttime sky..."
