Last night, I got served
A little bit too much of that poison baby
Last night, I did things I'm not proud of
And I got a little crazy
Last night, I met a guy on the dance floor
And I let him call me 'baby'

And I don't even know his last name
Oh, my momma would be so ashamed
It started off "hey cutie, where you from?"
Then it turned into "oh no! What have I done?"
And I don't even know his last name, woo

We left, the club, right around three o'clock in the morning
His Pinto, is sitting there in the parking lot
Well it should of been a warning
I had no clue, what I was getting into
So I blame it on the Cuervo
Oh, where did my manners go

And I don't even know his last name
Oh, my momma would be so ashamed
It started off "hey cutie, where you from?"
And then it turned into "oh no! What have I done?"
And I don't even know his last name, here we go

Today, I woke up, thinkin' 'bout Elvis
Somewhere in Vegas I'm not sure
How I got here, or how this ring on my left hand just appeared
Outta nowhere, I gotta go, take the chips,
And the Pinto, and hit the road
They say what happens here, stays here
All of this will disappear, but there's just one little problem

I don't even know my last name
Oh, my momma would be so ashamed
It started off "hey cutie, where you from?"
And then it turned into "oh no! What have I done?"
And I don't even know my last name

What have I done, what have I done, what have I done
Oh what have I done, I don't even know my last name
Well it turned into "oh no! What have I done?"
And I don't even know my last name, yeah, yeah, woo

Mm, yeah, eh, eh
Yeah, eh, eh
Yeah, eh, eh
Yeah, eh, eh
Yeah, eh, eh
Yeah, eh, eh
Oh

It started off "hey cutie, where you from?"
And then it turned into "oh no! What have I done?"
And I don't even know my last name, oh yeah

Well since there is a great debate behind the true meaning, I will attempt to analyze each stanza of this song and come to a conclusion at the end on the true meaning. Stanza 1) It appears as she drank too much alcohol or poison(great metaphor by the way) she lost her sense of judgment and met this African-American on the dance floor in which she proceeded to challenge him to a dance off which was senseless on her part because it resulted in her getting served. Stanza 2,4,6) She admits that she did not know his name making him a stranger. Later on she says "Oh no what have I done?" meaning she cannot fathom what she has just done which leads to "Oh here we go" in a distraught or sarcastic way Stanza 3) It is now 3 A.M. clearly past her bedtime and this guy's horse is sitting in the parking lot probably starved to death unless she's speaking figuratively. A warning? obviously this man is the African-American(Black) Knight. At this moment I'm beginning to think she's on drugs because she starts speaking Spanglish by speaking about a "cuervo" which is a crow or raven for you non-Spanish speakers. Stanza 5) Well now it appears she has had one wild morning thinking about Elvis which may be her new husband's name. O.K. at this point of the song I have become fucking dumbfounded to where these chips she's speaking of came from and what kind of chips. Since she is in Vegas supposedly I will assume casino chips but then again if she steals Elvis' horse she might want some food for the journey so they could also be potato chips. Yeah there is a problem, when they say "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" they also mean for you to not a write a terrible song about your misfortune because you may make the city of Las Vegas look bad. Stanza 7) She now repeats "What have I done?" about four times before coming to the fact she doesn't know his last name which is stupid. Word of advice...better find out because that's your last name too now you dumb broad Stanza 8&9) Pretty much the same as Stanzas 2,4&6 but with added yeahs and a whoo just in case someone may be listening and reading the lyrics and suddenly get thrown off because the yeahs and a whoo aren't there. To sum up all of this "Carrie Underwood can't write songs for shit; I think her parents might be brother and sister"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
