Kill Monsters in the Rain Lyrics

Come and take me
Come on down from that hill where you sleep
No more do you ever have to dream

Together we can
Together we'll kill monsters in the rain
We are the same
What a mess you made

Hide in the cuburd
behind the show boxes
your found
never seems like hiding away

Together we can
Oh together we'll kill monsters in the rain
We are the same
What a mess you made

I was cold
In line
Picked Out
Backed down
Fucked up
Out of love
Out of time
I fell
Im never going back again

Im getting sleepy
I plan to go up your hill
You dont sleep
No one life will be like a dream

Together we can
Oh together we'll kill monsters in the rain
We are the same
What a mess you made

I was cold
In line
Picked Out
Backed down
Fucked up
Out of love
Out of time
Then you heard
Then you smiled
And I'll get
And I'll get
And I fell
Open eyes
I can see that ghost
That soul was buried alive
And I swore Id never see that place again

Together we can
Oh together we'll kill monsters in the rain
We are the same
What a mess you made

Oh we are the same
What a mess we'll make

This song makes me think it's someone with a troubled past, caught up in their problems until they meet someone with a similar past, hence "we are the same..." then killing monsters together would be finding the strength together to conquer their problems.

the singing in this song sounds kinda creepy in the beginning. the song sounds like it's about finding someone who is like you and changes how you see things. it reminded me of the beatles 'dear prudence'

Yes! The beginning of this song really does drag you in...it is slightly eerie, I agree. I like how the whole song just builds and builds. I think it's about feeling invincible when you're with someone, enough so you can "kill monsters in the rain". Someone who makes you a better you.
