Black Eye Lyrics

Black eye, you showed me in a painting
Of buildings and chrome
Don't take that pill and I'll take you home
I said come on and realize one day you're gonna day

Break free, we'll be back before the weekday
Your dad will never know
That you took the pill, and I saw the road
When the chemicals are in I said one day you're gonna die

Blow up, well I got a miracle
And you wanna know why
You are a home, and I am on fire
When the chemicals are in, I said one day you're gonna die

Black eye, you hit
Black eye, on me
I said
I am your trampoline

Take the pill and I'll watch you sleep
Drive all night and you let me free
I said I'll tell you one more time you are never gonna be...
I am your trampoline

musically, i really love this song. the do-do-do.. (if you know what i mean) part of this song.. its just fun to sing along. and then it gets continued in the guitar part.

tell me if i'm wrong.. its about sucide attempt? or a friend who is attempting suicide?

"and realize one day you're gonna day" typo-- one day you're gonna die.

I see it as a relationship where the one person is always there for the other, helping them "bounce back" when they've possibly attempted suicide and really anytime they're bummed. They want them to know that they're there for them to fall back on.
