The Alien Song (For Those Who Listen) Lyrics
I see a shining....
A sweeping from the clouds
A glimmer of hope
is coming to feel our light
Oh look it's flashing
This life among the stars
Reaching out to know us
to feel our might
Oh... this restless hope in you
Please... try and help us
Stand on our own
As we stepped on this pavement
and saw your dying minds
Paper, for which you're killing a brother's life
Help you, we cannot touch you
we cannot understand
Your people's proud destruction
Of their own land
Oh... we're flying
On from you
We... will not stay to
See your fate
Watch them fly away
Watch them fly away
See the lines across the sky
Watch them fly away
A sweeping from the clouds
A glimmer of hope
is coming to feel our light
This life among the stars
Reaching out to know us
to feel our might
Please... try and help us
Stand on our own
and saw your dying minds
Paper, for which you're killing a brother's life
we cannot understand
Your people's proud destruction
Of their own land
On from you
We... will not stay to
See your fate
Watch them fly away
See the lines across the sky
Watch them fly away

I, personally, feel that this song is written to show us that if any thing from another world came to help us save our earth, we've already hurt it too much. They would just have to leave and the few of us that wanted the help have to watch the last little bit of hope fly away. We are killing ourselves and our earth in a way that these "things" cannot stand to watch any longer.
"Paper, for which you're killing a brother's life" I think the above line refers to killing each other for money.
This is just my opinion on the song though.... very meaningful. Look it up on youtube.com

Okay this is probably going to be out there, but this song kind of reminds me of the movie Avatar. Like how the humans are destroying the other planet and how she says "we cannot touch you, we cannot understand your people's proud destruction". It seems to fit well. And especially at the end of the song how it says "watch them fly away" and at the end of Avatar they watch the humans fly away. Idk just really reminded me of that movie.
