See Me In Shadow Lyrics
Standing in the shadow of our lies,
To hide our imperfection,
Doing anything we can to hide.
Eyes wide open but still blind
To see what really matters,
And insecurity won't go,
See me in shadow.
Standing by the ruins of your soul,
That cries for some more meaning.
Wondering when you have
Become so cold,
So cold,
And all the pictures of your past are gone.
So cold, so cold,
Forget yourself
And who you are,
Another life is not that far.
Standing by the paintings of your dreams,
But you have awoken
And all the purples and the greens
Have turned to black.
And the ruins of your soul
Have died, no more meaning.
Wonder when you have
Become so cold,
So cold,
And all the pictures of your past are gone.
So cold, so cold,
Forget yourself
And who you are,
Another life is not that far.
Not that far,
Not that far,
Not that far.
To hide our imperfection,
Doing anything we can to hide.
Eyes wide open but still blind
To see what really matters,
And insecurity won't go,
See me in shadow.
That cries for some more meaning.
Wondering when you have
Become so cold,
And all the pictures of your past are gone.
So cold, so cold,
Forget yourself
And who you are,
Another life is not that far.
But you have awoken
And all the purples and the greens
Have turned to black.
And the ruins of your soul
Have died, no more meaning.
Wonder when you have
Become so cold,
And all the pictures of your past are gone.
So cold, so cold,
Forget yourself
And who you are,
Another life is not that far.
Not that far,
Not that far.

It sounds like the lyrics are trying to convey someone who is empty, with low self-esteem.
Its kind of a blan, obvious observation but no one has made a comment on this song yet. and its a great song. =]
i agree i think the song is of her wondering what caused him to lose the spark for life he once had
I definitely agree, but for some reason I get the impression that it's not entirely all his fault, and she may have contributed to the coldness of their relationship.

I really love this song because it reminds of this character that one of my friends made up for me; her full potential in life was prevented from her because she was placed in a concentration camp in a young age. Now she's successfully carried out her vengeance...but to what purpose? What will she do now? She's just this cold...careless person that shouldn't be able to have any semblance of a...

So I always imagined that this is her thinking to herself as she debates what she wants to do with her life, and what was the exact point in her past when she became such a dark person.
But yeah, that's just my interpretation. ^^ Just discovered this song yesterday or the day before, and I know it will instantly become a classic for me.
This is a sad song is about grieving for the loss of one's dreams (or loved ones), and how they make life meaningless and cold.

The video shows Charlotte in a wedding gown mourning the loss of her groom and possibly contemplating suicide by drowning. I wish there was something positive at the end.
