Killer song! is the guy that is being hunted for only being hunted for his tongue?
he only wants the tongue as a trophy. a symbol of his bravery if u like. the song's a statement of how hunter's only hunt for there personal pride, not for anything beneficial to anyone else.
"chewed off my very own head to get me out of this trap" - great line. this is an expression of the cruelty of the sport reckon.
"a gentlemans sport" being keith's usual brilliantly sarcastic self. such a hero.

I actually think it's about Muscians, mainly lead singers how they're only really wanted for their fame, and hunted by fans like animals.
I think this is about owning what you say while not hiding under a cloak of anonymity. But I also agree with what JoelC is saying. Also the line about baiting is interesting.
