We're All Dying Lyrics
We feel sick
Broken down
Drug ourselves
Underground
No one cares
We curse you all
We curse ourselves
In hopes we fall
Friday night and I made the best of it
I passed out before I could invest in it
Understand, it won’t make sense
But I don’t value innocence
I don’t hope for anything
(Chorus)
Enemy, f*ck the (clique?)
Come on over to our side
We’re the same just afraid
What’s the difference
When we’re all dead
Oh my god, we’re so set
In our own ways that we forget
We are insignificant
We’ll be gone
Soon be forgotten
When you said to me
I was dead to you
I accepted that
I disagreed with you
What we want
We don’t know
Give us cages
Let us go
Enemy, f*ck the (clique?)
Come on over to our side
We’re the same just afraid
What’s the difference
When we’re all dying
Broken down
Drug ourselves
Underground
No one cares
We curse you all
We curse ourselves
In hopes we fall
I passed out before I could invest in it
Understand, it won’t make sense
But I don’t value innocence
I don’t hope for anything
Enemy, f*ck the (clique?)
Come on over to our side
We’re the same just afraid
What’s the difference
When we’re all dead
In our own ways that we forget
We are insignificant
We’ll be gone
Soon be forgotten
I was dead to you
I accepted that
I disagreed with you
What we want
We don’t know
Give us cages
Let us go
Come on over to our side
We’re the same just afraid
What’s the difference
When we’re all dying

Just a little correction in the chorus: The first line should read "Enemy? Fuck the pride"
sounds like a song about addiction, glorified.
that's all I could come up with. I think this has to be the best Gob song I've ever heard, twice as better than anything they've ever put out on the radio. So beautifully well crafted -the song structure, right down to the way he sings the chorus, with the chanting sing along of the verse. Just an excellent song.
"Drug ourselves Underground"
That line makes me wonder how many people will misread it to think that they are using the word 'drug' as the past tense of 'drag' instead of actually 'drugging' themselves.
As for the song, I think it's blatantly obvious when it comes to the meaning. It's about addiction, although without a specified drug, alcohol, nicotine, etc.
More or less. He is saying he doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. No matter what side you are on you will end up dead.
