What a beutiful song this is. I'm too lazy to analyse it completely, but it seems to be about love, and not being afraid of what it holds.
I think it's about death. There are several references 'When the time arrives...' 'Draw the final curtain' In any case it is beautifully poetic, especially the first verse.
