Beneath The Glad Sunbeam Lyrics
This man
He opened a fast-food resturant
At first he smiled, but then he got tired
Close down the shop
Fired all his staff
People got sick
Eating all that fat
La la la
La la la la la
La la la
La la la la
His hands smelled of meat and monotonous work
His son suffered from Downs syndrome, but not as much as he
One day he made it to the headlines, Hoorray, Hoorray!
His son found him lying still, eyes closed, smell, horrid, horrid
He opened a fast-food resturant
At first he smiled, but then he got tired
Close down the shop
Fired all his staff
People got sick
Eating all that fat
La la la
La la la la la
La la la
La la la la
His son suffered from Downs syndrome, but not as much as he
One day he made it to the headlines, Hoorray, Hoorray!
His son found him lying still, eyes closed, smell, horrid, horrid

this is a comment from snaevar (mimas frontman) about this song, from the last email i got from him: "This song is just really about a man who is very tired of his life and everything is wrong. He hates his work, his costumers get sick and he has a deformed child. And he never gets anywhere in life. So he ends up killing himself and thats why he gets on the front page of the news. So it's kind of ironic."
