It's basically talking about how how he once believed in "god" and then one day one he actually needed something to believe in "god" didn't do anything therefore he no longer believes..

This song is about him being an 'ex-christian' because when he needed 'god' he wasn't their and so he bashes him
this is a very talented band (ithink anyone can easily tell wat this songs meaning is) however it says a lot about people when they need to bash on certain religions it shows bitterness maybe coming from lack of confidence in their own beleifs whoever put together these lyrics is very disturbed i would think the same thing about a christian bashing on an athiest or anyone with different beleifs any religion believing in god knows he does not give perfect lives to believers a strong person does not give up on beliefs they make it thru hardships and come out stronger not a bitter bashing lost soul.

I can relate to this song so well. Song is self-explanatory. It is a realization that there is no god for Mitch. He is one of "the fallen" that people speak of and how no prayers that REQUIRE a higher power (solely, no support in this world that could change the event that is being prayed for) ever come true. And, if there is a god, Mitch is saying "you let them fall" to him because, well, god did.
