Jelly Man Kelly Lyrics

Well, here's a story 'bout Jelly Man Kelly
He loves jelly the most
Ah, but most of all
Jelly Man Kelly loves jelly on toast

And here's the part about Jenny Mulhenny
She's the fireman's daughter
Ah, but most of all
Jenny Mulhenny loves to boil hot water

So, Jenny, put the kettle on
Jelly Man Kelly, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?
Jenny, put the kettle on
Jelly Man Kelly, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?

Oh, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?
Oh, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?
Oh, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?
Oh, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come?

La la la da do do do do papa
Yodelee-hoo
Do fo fow
Yaka yaka yaka yaka huh uh no

Oh, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come home?
Jenny, can he come tonight?
Oh, can he come home?

Here's the story 'bout Jelly Man Kelly
He sure loves jelly
And maybe someday, you and me, friend, we can have tea with him

Jelly Man Kelly is an awesome song. My 8 year old grandson loves it and he has taught it to me and his mom and his aunt. His entire class at school sings it. They love it too! wow I can't believe more have not commented on this awesome song!

Jelly man Kelly is like our song writer a heroin addict. He loves jelly (heroin) but most of all he loves his jelly on toast (chasing the dragon on tinfoil). Jenny mahony is the firemans daughter (the dealers) she loves to boil hot water (for injecting). Jelly man Kelly wants to know if he can come round to score. La la poppa Yodeleho etc is when she says her dad is holding and he's celebratory. Maybe some day we can have tea with him

My Interpretation

"So, Jenny, put the kettle on Jelly Man Kelly, can he come home?" This may mean that Jelly Man Kelly was cheating on Jenny and she kicked him out of the house. Kids (or just people in general) are begging her to forgive him and let him back in.

"Oh, can he come home? Jenny, can he come home? Jenny, can he come?" This is them continuing to beg Jenny to take him back in.

"Here's the story 'bout Jelly Man Kelly He sure loves jelly And maybe someday, you and me, friend, we can have tea with him" I really can't tell what the end means.

My Interpretation

@Darkrai23 If he's cheating on her, maybe all this stuff is sexual euphemisms. "Jelly on toast" might be cum on tits. The kettle might be ass that Jenny should be getting ready, so having tea might be eating ass.
