wow i'm the first to comment? anyways i love this song! maybe it's not going to be like top ten, suppose it's a guilty pleasure song? anyways what i think it means:
this guy has strong feelings... (love) for this girl (or guy) and he wants her/him to "wake up" cause he's been "waiting for you to open your eyes" to his love... he's ready for whatever will happen between them and ready to go where life takes them...
cause when you let go (of maybe the past?) life takes you where maybe you never thought it would. sort of like just living without a plan... living like this day's your last... and he's saying though it maybe be scary it's the best thing you could do, to actualyl LIVE.
