Alter Eagle Lyrics
I went to the Leal
Saw Clash of the Titans
Cracked the egg I was born in
There was nothing inside it yet
Just a face or a name, I forget
Hold my place while I check my style
In an eagle shaped mirror
"Can I help you?"
"Yeah, I'm looking for some neon prescription glasses that, you know, will glow when all the lights are out when I'm trying to quanitfy the weight of God. Wait? I'll wait"
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
Saw Clash of the Titans
Cracked the egg I was born in
There was nothing inside it yet
Just a face or a name, I forget
In an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror
I check my style in an eagle shaped mirror

I'm fairly sure I messed up the beginning (I think Leal is a theater somewhere, for what it's worth). Also, he might say "Just a face for a name" instead of "or a name."
Anyway, awesome, weird song. I like it a lot.
What does Eagle Shaped Mirror mean? What is it?
What is part 1 of this song? and, hey, these look a lot like the lyrics that I posted yesterday, with some added corrections.
Bunny Ain't No Kind Of Rider, off of Hissing Fauna, was originally titled Eagle Shaped Mirror.

I really can't figure out what this song is about, and it's bothering me. Bunny Ain't No Kinda Rider was originally called Eagle Shaped Mirror and "the sad return to the Eagle-Shaped mirror" was referenced to in Womens Studies Victims... I think it has something to do with cheating or something sexual. I just can't put the pieces together.
Sounds to me "eagle shaped mirror" is a part of this parody of a typical alpha male type. Or at least someone who is very full of themselves. I am tipped off of that by the little diatribe about "neon prescription sunglasses" which sounds very sarcastic to me.
