Fix Your Face Lyrics

You want a vision you can't have
A line that you can't walk
Writhing around on the floor
You won't be aware 'til it's too late
Cause you never look around
You're like a deer in the headlights baby
Queen of delusion you will never learn compassion
Start a fire and you can never put it out
You're burning up in the blaze you started
I want to see you face down
Because I know that you play that part so well
At our wake the casket is open ready for the viewing
But we are still moving
Already we smell of rot
There will be no comeback
No coming back for any of us now
No way out
Don't you realize there is nowhere you can hide
Where I'm from there is never a rest for the hunted
No way you and I will ever be done
We're never apart
Whatever you're doing
We will always cross your mind
You were young and now you pay the price for her

There are definitely more lyrics than "Now you'll pay the price for her" in this song.

I can't believe that people are actually arguing that "Fix Your Face" marks Dillinger's transition into the mainstream. REALLY?? You actually see something "mainstream" about FIX YOUR FACE..? Ire Works does have a few songs that really do signify a little more mainstream attention for Dillinger, and those songs are "Black Bubblegum", "Milk Lizard", "Dead As History" and "Mouth of Ghosts". Other than those four, the rest is some pretty brutal shit.

This song kind of marks Dillinger Escape Plan becoming more mainstream. It really takes on a different musical style but still has that weird Jazz Hardcore thing that I love happening.

And the lyrics are dope, seriously. Even though they are angry and about a girl, as usual.

What a fucking Song! Can't help but think that every album has a theme attached, Ire is a word that describes something between anger and anxiety, hence the brutal shit and the stuff like "when acting as a particle" that sounds as if it's from a 50s horror. Definately a change from Miss Machine musically, and probably a contender as one of my favourite Dillinger albums. An honorable mention to Gil Sharone, who fucking KILLS it!
