; my my. First song i heard off the album and it blew me away. As far as the meaning goes, i think its quite self explanitory. Be nice to know where the inspiration came from though. :) x

; well to me, Dave's obviously got jiff with this man. Its really just an awesome 'screw you, i dont need you anyway' kinda song. Obviously done beautifully using imagery to convey Dave's sense of anger and independence =] i mean there are plenty of different situations that can be linked to why it was written of course, but there's no need [for me] to go into that much detail. I prefer to apply it as much as possible to my life and just enjoy Dave's talent. :] x

I think it's a bit more than a "jiff" with a guy. Given the title it seems that an old and close friend to Dave has turned his back on him and a group of friends because he wasn't getting enough attention or something similar, or maybe he just prentended to be who he was to be with them, hence "Myths and Photographs" where things between them were always false.
With the second and third verse as well I think shows Dave's anger at this person trying to be top of the group. The second being this person abusing drink and possibly drugs to look cool, and this obviously angering Dave given his own demons.
The third saying how this person treated Dave as disposable, as well as attempting to turn his friends against him.
The ending seems as if this person tried to befriend Dave again, and it's just a "f*ck off" in a few more words =].
But that's also personal experience so you see what you want to see maybe? I don't know.

I think all the above interpretations are spot on. I think the person is possibly his Dad or something. I can't really say why, it's just a vibe I get.
To me this song is about the media, particularly the music press. Myths being the article thats written and photographs being the picture that usually acompanys such an article. He says 'your not a strong man' because the media follow whatever is cool at the time rather than thinking for themselves. 'take a cheap shot I dont give a shit' refers to how media always are putting people down and this 'band of brothers' is obviosly a reference to InMe, who for this album literally had brothers in it and its defiance about it cos they 'roll round with it'. Finally what makes it seem more about the media than a particular person he has 'jiff' with is that he says 'you never knew me anyway' like how can you even comment on me!
