One Day Son Lyrics
The night, the day, the dawn of dead
rising from the ground
it's time to see the reckoning
you've never had it all this good
a country of your own
a land that feeds on us alone
When there's no room in hell the dead will walk the earth
Just go and load another round
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess
The night, the day, the dawn of dead
you do what you will
a drop of blood could change it all
and soon a day will come my friend
the time to hand it on
so here's to solving our sickness
When there's no room in hell the dead will walk the earth
Just go and load another round
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess
Just go and walk with the dead, dead
Just go and load another round
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess
rising from the ground
it's time to see the reckoning
you've never had it all this good
a country of your own
a land that feeds on us alone
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess
you do what you will
a drop of blood could change it all
and soon a day will come my friend
the time to hand it on
so here's to solving our sickness
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess
to your gun and take up your aim
cause one day son this will all be yours
I'm sorry for this mess

i think the line in the chorus is 'Take up your aim' not 'shake'
I hate people who pick wrong lyrics from other sites and post them here. Whoever posted these lyrics (leeham); next time let somebody who's not as much of a lazy fuck as you are add the lyrics to new songs.
Corrections in the first verse:
You've never had it all this good A country of your own (can't make out the word) fear's irrational
the chorus is "Just go and load another round Till your gonna take up your aim"
makes more sense since the song is full of "The night, the day, the dawn of dead" zombie references.
I really can't figure out the last line of the first verse though.
The night, the day, the dawn of dead, rising from the ground It's time to see the reckoning You never had it all this good A country of your own..
A land that fears the less you know, (maybe?) its definitely not irrational. or a lesson owed, something along those lines, i reckon.
Superficially, the song's about the state the world is in and the way its been left for its children. "I'm sorry for this mess" signifies that the world has been left in ruins and this generation isn't prepared to do anything. The chorus (it's take up your aim btw) is about how the younger generation are going to have to continue the war's started by their parents.
The night, the day, the dawn of dead, rising from the ground It's time to see the reckoning You never had it all this good A country of your own A land that feeds on us alone.
When there's no room in hell the dead will walk the earth.
Just come and load another round 'Til your gonna take up your aim Cause one day son this will all be yours I'm sorry for this mess.
The night, the day, the dawn of dead, view them what you will A drop of blood could change it all And soon the day will come my friend The time to hand it on So heres to solving our sickness.
When there's no room in hell the dead will walk the earth.
Just come and load another round 'Til your gonna take up your aim Cause one day son this will all be yours I'm sorry for this mess.
Just come and walk with the dead. Dead.
Just come and load another round 'Til your gonna take up your aim Cause one day son this will all be yours I'm sorry for this mess.
======== what i think the correct lyrics are - fave fightstar song :)
i think it's about a dictator, who pushes his people too far, and they rebel, so his son must earn the right to be leader by stopping the rebellion
You are all pretty much stupid. The lyrics on the top are all right..It's a land that feeds on us alone, not a land that fears the less you know; that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. This song is pretty much Charlie's way of saying that this country is filled with 'zombies' who have no idea how to run themselves intelligently. "this will all be yours, I'm sorry for this mess" is basically saying that the leaders of the government are handing down a system and policy that is corrupt and they don't even realize it, and there's nothing you can do to change it.

fightstar99... Sh.
SillyHatMan pretty much got it although i can kinda detect a bit of the 'NGE' in there. When Shinji's dad hands the responsibility down to him - would explain the whole 'take up your aim' thing aswell.
Yeah I think this song is about Zombies...
"The night, the day, the dawn of dead rising from the ground"
That kinda gives it away..
