True to Me Lyrics

She turned me on
But now I'm shaking
She shoots it in
And I keep taking

They don't see
She's down with me tonight
(Time to push off)

She's such a rush
She's such a crush
She's one in a million
She's such a rush
Can't get enough
She's pumping through my veins
She's too fun to be so gone with me
Too good to be true to me

She's over my head
She's all I need
I'm so strung out
She's out of my league

They don't see
She's down with me tonight
(Time to push off)

She's such a rush
She's such a crush
She's one in a million
She's such a rush
Can't get enough
She's pumping through my veins
She's too fun to be so gone with me
Too good to be true to me

Oh, oh, she's too good to be true
I'm hooked up
When we do what we do
Can't you see she's the sweat on the sheets?
Can't you see she's all that I need?
Can't you see she's all that I see?

She's such a rush
She's such a crush
She's one in a million
She's such a rush
Can't get enough
She's pumping through my veins
She's too fun to be so gone with me
Too good to be true to me
Too good to be true to me
Too good to be true to me

i think that it's about comparing the girl to a drug because she's so addictive- she's way out of his league and she's cheating on him and he knows but he can't get enough of her so he doesn't do anything. He's obsessed with her but she doesn't really care about him. She doesn't want people to know about their relationship either. I think the first bit means that she treats him like shit and he just takes it because he doesn't want to loose her because he needs her. She's his drug.

my least favorite song by them. boring lyrics...flat...:/

its obviously a double entendre about a girl and more importantly cocaine.

I agree Jefftheheff, but I think it links more with heroine.

"She shoots it in And I keep taking"

Talking about shooting up, with a heroine syringe.

"Oh, oh, she's too good to be true I'm hooked up When we do what we do Can't you see she's the sweat on the sheets? Can't you see she's all that I need? Can't you see she's all that I see?"

While it fits with cocaine, heroine just seems to fit better. I believe heroine addicts are a bit more addicted than those with cocaine, not limiting cocaine's addictiveness.

the humanroach and jefftheheff, i think you might be wrong. i dont think its about drugs at all. the song sounds like he is telling about a girl he is secretly having sex with, and how he thinks she is too good for him.

I don't think it's about drugs either. I think it's about a boy and girls relationship together, but he couldn't handle it. The boy was too boring for the girl so she moved on.

The girl obviously was too much for the boy, but he loved her anyways. The girl didn't return the feelings and moved on. It crushed the boy but he met with reality. Even though it sucked.
