Back to You Lyrics

You flick your mane and click your fingers again
And from your back you call my name
And like a fool I run right back to you
And dance along to your latest tune

And when the lands slides
And when the planets die
That's when I come back, when I come back to you
And when the sun cools
And when the stars fall
That's when I come back, when I come back to you

You roll those eyes and trap my hand in your thighs
It's slavery but in disguise
And like a fool I come right back to you
There's nothing else that I can do

And when the pigs fly
And when the planets die
That's when I come back, when I come back to you
And when the sun cools
And when the stars fall
That's when I come back, when I come back to you

And when the war machines
Rust eternally
That's when I come back, when I come back to you
And when your heart bleeds
For a love that's dead like me
That's when I come back, when I come back to you.....

Cover art for Back to You lyrics by Brett Anderson

I think this song is about a hate-love relationship, he knows that he is a kind of "puppet" for his lover, he does what she wants, but at the same time he doesn´t want to be her "slave", but has no option.

Exactly, he loves her so much and is weak person too, so she takes advantage of him and does everything she wants. He understands that, is not happy with that, and tries to convince himself that he will never go back to her..

I saw Brett did it live on Beijing Pop Festival. Beautiful but sad. I love you but I can't stay with you.

I believe this song might about a soldier or a captive...anyway the victims of war some kinda write to his/her lover that he/she actually can't be back...
