i think this is a song about a couple, not who are going to break up, but they are just saying that they really love each other and want to be with each other but through that they have to learn to be completely honest with each other and not be scared of whatever will happen.

Is this really Sara singing? It sounds so unlike her, in my opinion.

It's definitely her alright :) I guess she sounds a little different 'cause she's not alongside Tegan, and her vocals are quite strong here. I instantly knew it was Sara when I first heard the song. CHUFFED, she sounds amazing :D.

Pssh, it definitely sounds like her, although she is singing higher than she usually does in songs that she writes herself. But yeah, it's a great song, love it. :]

i think it's about two people, that are in a relationship, and have come to the realisation that they havn't been honest with eachother, and they're telling eachother that if they don't fess up to what's going on, it isn't going to work. the whole

"If you can't be honest I cant be honest with you We've got to..."

part seems to mean that they've both realised that they've been hiding things, and they need to be honest to eachother, because they know that if they're not, it isn't going to work, and it's hurting them.

I think it's about when you're in a new relationship and you don't know quite how far you can go with honesty, and you don't know if you're going scare the person away if you tell them the whole truth about yourself or your feelings. 'Cause we're so beyond this' refers to the fact that they've gotten past the stage of holding back but don't quite know how to start talking deeply.

This song is pretty generic, but Sara makes it sound like a million bucks.
