Black Electric Lyrics
I watch the streets glow before me
And hear them promise a story
If only I'll listen
Oh, I
Watch the skyscrapers as they melt away
In the drops I can hear them say
This is the instant; let the gravity lose it's grasp
[Chorus]
We are rising
Up from this underground and
We are blinding with black electric
As we set this night alight
I heard they say the boy's missing
Heard they say he's been kissing
The sparkles of the night
Oh, I
Heard they say that he turned the other way
Heard he's planning along with strays
Who in an instant; let this decadence take its grasp
[chorus]
I heard the streetlights sigh
I set them all to sleep again
I deny that it's goodbye
We'll dance another night
I heard the streetlights sigh
I set them all to sleep again
I deny that it's goodbye
We'll dance another night
Who in an instant; let this decadence take it's grasp
[chorus]
And hear them promise a story
If only I'll listen
Oh, I
Watch the skyscrapers as they melt away
In the drops I can hear them say
We are rising
Up from this underground and
We are blinding with black electric
As we set this night alight
Heard they say he's been kissing
The sparkles of the night
Oh, I
Heard they say that he turned the other way
Heard he's planning along with strays
I set them all to sleep again
I deny that it's goodbye
We'll dance another night
I set them all to sleep again
I deny that it's goodbye
We'll dance another night

Sucks this wasn't included on the CD release... Damn Blaqk Audio succumbing to Apple's ploys!! I can't stay mad at them though... Blaqk Audio I mean, not Apple... Apple can get f**ked for all I care. But yeah, awesome song.
It's almost definitely not BA. Interscope is the one who handles these kind of things. It's good for record sales, so Interscope does it.
Anyway, for some reason this song reminds me of drag queens, though I'm guessing that's not what it's about. o.O
Love it, love it, and love it. I have no idea what it means, probably the best out of the 3 bonus tracks.
I don't know...I'm usually the person who doesn't like to connect Davey's lyrics to his personal life, but for me, the song just kind of struck me as his view of how he got into this music- a scene so obviously different from, say, punk. But hey.
