It Ain't Me Babe (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics

Go away from my window,
Leave at your own chosen speed.
I'm not the one you want, babe,
I'm not the one you need.

You say you're looking for someone
Who's never weak, but always strong,
To protect you and defend you
Whether you are right or wrong.
Someone to open each and every door,

But it ain't me, babe,
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe,
It ain't me you're looking for, babe.

Go lightly from the ledge, babe,
Go lightly on the ground.
I'm not the one you want, babe,
I will only let you down.

You say you're looking for someone
Who will promise never to part.
Someone to close his eyes to you,
Someone to close his heart.
Someone to die for you and more

But it ain't me, babe,
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe,
It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe.

You say you're looking for someone
Who'll pick you up each time you fall,
To gather flowers constantly
And to come each time you call.
And to love you for your life and nothing more

But it ain't me, babe,
No, no, no, it ain't me, babe,
It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe.

this is actually an old johnny cash song. i'm pretty sure they picked it because chad's favorite movie is walk the line, and he really loves johnny cash. i think they did a really amazing cover of this song, and sherri's voice sounds as beautiful as ever!! i love when she sings with jordan. (alas, none more again)

I love this song! Johnny Cash was a great country singer. To me, this song is basically the doubts you have about yourself - you're saying to the other person that you're not good enough for them, that you'll only let them down.
