I LOVE LOVE LOVE these lyrics!!! They are hilarious!! Most of us have been in this situation where the next morning...You're going wtf did I do??!!This dude needs to kick rocks! hahahaha!! The fact that these men had the comical balls to write a song about it is awesome=D If this is the way SO many people actually feel after a much needed one night stand, Why would anyone be offended by such a brilliant display of reality!? I think it's great and more people should be so honest! Music to me is about expressing thoughts or life experiences through lyrics, so that fans can relate and alter their mood through the wonderful flood gates of music. Life without music would surely suck! Music with no truth behind it is not as "soul grabbing" But then opinions are like Aholes & everyone's got one. Just enjoy the good things in life!!! I have truly enjoyed these lyrics, they made me laugh out loud.
No comments on this song? It must have been miscatagorized under Rod Stewart's solo career, cause this is a CLASSIC song. Not too much deep meaning here. It's a song about being an unrepentant cocky asshole who just wants a one night stand with a girl in the crowd of his show, and for her to not linger the next morning. Too bad Rod Stewart usually gets credit for this song, cause the badass instrumentation is what makes this song a classic.

The tune and instrumentation rock on this song, but the lyrics are cruel and hateful. The men who wrote this song obviously hate women. I've woken up a few times next to someone I didn't necessarily want to have a long term relationship with, but I didn't feel the need to degrade or abuse the person. BTW, I've seen Faces faces, and they definitely "got nothing to laugh about" either.
@roryjones - You do realize that he was upfront about his intentions, right? Hateful? How?: The guy is a pig, he tells the woman he's a pig, he tells the woman what to expect from him, and in this way he's more honest than 90% of the pigs- male OR female - in this piggy world. So either accept the song for what it is or leave it alone. After all, songs about female pigs who talk in the same damn way get celebrated while male pigs get eaten alive...or cured into bacon.
