This song is very touching. It's a nice love song without a mushy-gooshy essence. It's songs like this that make me thank the U.K.

its about a lover who wants to save their partner from the depression they are in. i think its applicable with addiction aswell. but it can relate to any relationship, not just romantic. I think it was writen from a lovers point of view because of the line: "We should never awake without the other Lying by our side".
none the less its beautiful. and i'm sure many can relate to the person trying to help the other. or the depressed person, who is becomming a burden, though neither person wants to admit it. but its clear to both of them.
eventually it gets too much. and its no one persons job to save someone else. shes done all she can w/o completely sacrificing herself.
from my opinion with my boy friend who's depressed often and dieing of cancer, i just want to hold him and i want to make him happy. but he never tells me alot bout how he feels, and he wont let me help him. he says i help him just talking to him, but i wish i could do more you know? its so hard to watch him like this, and depressed often, it really kills me. i just wish i could make him happy and lift his burdens. its also a great love song, how you can relate by wanting to wake up next to them and how you should never be without them, and how beautiful it is to wake up in the peaceful morning with them. also "I wanna trust the pulse In which decay is followed by bloom And I'm sure any flaw will turn out beautiful" that could be how, ever part of that person that is a flaw is perfect to you because you love them, no matter what or who they are. i really think its about a love partner who is depressed and dosent want to burden you by you trying to help them up and how it kills you, and how sometimes you just want to lay with them and just enjoy the peaceful things
This song just came up on my iTouch, one of my fiance's favorite artists, he unfortunately passed away in June of this year from complications from leukemia (cancer) and even though he was in the hospital for the past 5 months before he passed he tried to put on a brave face and it did "kill me" to see him be so strong and graceful when all wanted to do is take everything away and knowing that there was nothing I could do also killed me. He told me the same thing, being there w/ him in the hospital,...
This song just came up on my iTouch, one of my fiance's favorite artists, he unfortunately passed away in June of this year from complications from leukemia (cancer) and even though he was in the hospital for the past 5 months before he passed he tried to put on a brave face and it did "kill me" to see him be so strong and graceful when all wanted to do is take everything away and knowing that there was nothing I could do also killed me. He told me the same thing, being there w/ him in the hospital, bringing him whatever he asked to eat, watching movies on the computer, and just listening helped him, but it felt and still feels like it wasn't enough.
Now that he has passed, this line is haunting:

There is no pulse, only decay, so now I wait for the bloom and to try and see the beauty in the flaw. The flaw to me was his cancer, the only beauty I see is that he is no longer suffering.
I do hope your boyfriend feels better, I know what it is to watch someone depressed and dying in front of you.

this song is so beautiful, infact i just love Blue Foundation songs in general. but this song really caught me off guard. i feel like it is about loving someone, and seeing them suffer, but they will not love you back.
