and the keyboard is sick
Basically, Mario says "eh fuck it" and kills Bowser without taking the princess. Sounds like this song was made out of frustration; the whole "I'm sorry, but the princess is in another castle" thing can get to you after awhile.
I've been listening to this song a lot and I feel like the message is something like "save the kingdom (or whatever) instead of seekinf self-interest (princess)". What use there is to save the princess apart from own pleasure? At least that is the message I wish the song is trying to tell.
