Unrelated to the actual meaning of the song, I just thought I'd share this. When I first heard this song, it was in a movie called My First Mister (awesome film, GO SEE IT! Leelee Sobiesky rocks!) and I didn't know the name of the song. I thought the lyrics were:

Seemed sort of funny to me and ironic xD
