Take You There Lyrics
Yo!
What a gwaan!
Ha ha
Ho!
Sean Kingston
J.R.
We can go to the tropics
Sip piña coladas
Shorty, I could take you there
Or we can go to the slums
Where killas get hung
Shorty, I could take you there
You know I could take ya
(I could take ya)
I could take ya
(I could take ya)
Shorty, I could take you there
You know I could take ya
(I could take ya)
I could take ya
(I could take ya)
Shorty, I could take you there
Baby girl, I know it's rough
But come with me
We can take a trip to the hood
It's no problem girl, It's my city
I could take you there (Take you there)
Little kids with guns only 15
Roamin' the streets up to no good
When gun shots just watch us, run quickly
I could show you where (Show you where)
As long you're with me
Baby, you'll be alright
I'm known in the ghetto
Girl, just stay by my side
Or we can leave the slums
Go to paradise
Babe, it's up to you
It's whatever you like
We can go to the tropics
Sip piña coladas
Shorty, I could take you there
Or we can go to the slums
Where killas get hung
Shorty, I could take you there
You know I could take ya
(I could take ya)
I could take ya
(I could take ya)
Shorty, I could take you there
You know I could take ya
(I could take ya)
I could take ya
(I could take ya)
Shorty, I could take you there
Shorty, come with me it's no worry
I know the bad men them where I stay
Police fly pursuit in a hurry
This is no gun play (No gun play)
Don't be scared in the West Indies
It's Jamaica, that's where I'm from
Might see something that you're not used to
Welcome to the slums (To the slums)
As long you're with me
Baby, you'll be alright
I'm known in the ghetto
Girl, just stay by my side
Or we can leave the slums

I'm no rocket scientist, but I am pretty sure if you have the choice of going to a ghetto neighborhood in a completely foreign place, or going to the beach where it's safe and heavily populated with rich people and clean streets without little kids roaming around with rifles.....the choice seems so clear but maybe it's just me.
Who knows? Maybe, she's a girl who likes danger or something. Who really knows?

this song is pretty self explanatory. Basically, the singer is saying that he isn't afraid of taking the girl in any part of the city, either the ghetto or the white rich part of town. He comes from the ghetto, so people know him, and he also has money and can fit in the rich crowd
thiss song's so great! it's really like a happy song . and i live in minnesota so i'd be happy if sean took me there (;
i appreciate all the proper spelling and capitalization in these lyrics.
I think I have a good idea as to what this song is about.
I've went to the ghetto before, and I went with a close friend of mine, he told me as long as I stayed close to him, no one would mess with me while we were in his territory, and once we got out of his territory, I could let my guard down and relax.
I think this song means the same.
The singer is basically saying...
"We can go to my territory, but if you want to do this then stay by my side and I'll protect you and keep you safe, or we can go some where peaceful, I'll do anything you want."
He's giving her a decision, if she wants to see where he comes from then he will take her to his territory and use his experience to keep her safe, but if she wants to go somewhere else, he'll take her because it's what she wants to do.

only i don't think he's that bright. In fact, this is a stupid song. I don't think there's any depth or hidden meaning. It's stupid stupid stupid. Please mister, take me to the ghetto where killers hang out. Show me where to hide. Awesome.

We know what it means. God. Are you kidding me?
i think this guy is saying that he will go anywhere or take her anywhere. any place she wants to be.
