Running With Scissors Lyrics
Brother, what have you done?
Sticking needles in your arm
Brother, I never said we walk away
Away from family
These so-called "friends"
They care, pushing your end
I hate my love for you
But you cared for me so I'll care for you
Brother, oh will you come home?
You've hit the ground so hard
It's breaking me, breaking me down
Brother brother oh we make a stand
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand
You said yourself that you were done with this
I believed you, it's the trust I miss
In my eyes more life
You're a man proud of everything
I am your friend, talk to me
Tell me anything
I love you despite everything
This is family
Brother, oh will you come home?
You've hit the ground so hard
It's breaking me, breaking me down
Brother brother oh we make a stand
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand
This means everything to me (x8)
(Will you come home?)
Brother oh will you come home?
You've hit the ground so hard
It breaks my heart
Brother oh will you come home?
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand...
Sticking needles in your arm
Brother, I never said we walk away
Away from family
They care, pushing your end
I hate my love for you
But you cared for me so I'll care for you
You've hit the ground so hard
It's breaking me, breaking me down
Brother brother oh we make a stand
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand
I believed you, it's the trust I miss
In my eyes more life
You're a man proud of everything
Tell me anything
I love you despite everything
This is family
You've hit the ground so hard
It's breaking me, breaking me down
Brother brother oh we make a stand
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand
(Will you come home?)
You've hit the ground so hard
It breaks my heart
Brother oh will you come home?
You've hit the ground so hard
So take my hand...

To me, this song is about a drug-abusive brother, and if not a literal brother, than definitely a figurative one. The first line indicates a sense of drug abuse "Sticking needles in your arms." Now he's trying to help his brother, for his addiction to drugs has made him fall to the ground, at a low point in his life, and is holding out his hand to help, for it pains him to see his brother like this. "You've hit the ground so hard It's breaking me, breaking me down...You've hit the ground so hard So take my hand." The end. lol
Yeah, agreed. This song gives me goosebumbs.
I got a really good friend who says they're trying to get their life together but they keep drinkin and doing drugs and I'm just trying to help them out Great song
I think its about two brothers, the oldest used to take care of his younger brother. As they grew older they began to hate each other. The oldest brother pressured by his friends(These so-called "friends" They care, pushing your end) into doing Haroin. (Brother, what have you done? Sticking neddles in your arms)Eventually, the younger couldn't bear seeing him so screwed up, so the young brother makes a promise to look out for the oldest brother like the oldest brother did when they were younger. (I hate my love for you But you cared for me so I'll care for you) But the oldest ran away from home, and this song is a plea to bring him back home. (brother, oh will you come home?)
i think this song is definatly about a drug abusive brother. I kind of feel like this song was written for me because my older brother and I used to be best friends and then he made some bad friends who talked him into doing drugs and now we dont really talk anymore or see eachother anymore.
This Song. So Good It Hurts. And I Can Relate, my Literal Brother Is Using Pills. :/
