Destroy All Vampires Lyrics

A star up in the sky
A Poem to the dead
Let this mistake
Bring a vivid crystal to her eyes

A star up in the sky
A Poem to the dead
Let this mistake
Bring a vivid crystal to her eyes

And if they get me and the sun goes down into the ground (A star up in the sky)
And if they get me take this spike to my heart and (A Poem to the dead)
(Let this mistake bring a vivid crystal to her eyes)
Someone get me to the doctor, someone get me to a church
Where they can pump this venom gaping hole
And you must keep your soul like a secret in your throat
And if they come and get me

[Triune Rap]

Someone get me to the doctor, and someone call the nurse
And someone buy me roses, and someone burned the church
We're hanging out with corpses, and driving in this hearse
And someone save my soul tonight, please save my soul

A star up in the sky
A Poem to the dead
Let this mistake
Bring a vivid crystal to her eyes

Let me walk on high wire of rusty nails

A star up in the sky
A poem to the dead
Let this mistake
Bring a vivid crystal to her eyes
So drain out my lungs
Before the fluid brings a choke
I can not inhale the sparkle of your voice

A star up in the sky
A poem to the dead
Let this mistake
Bring a vivid crystal to her eyes
So drain out my lungs
Before the fluid brings a choke
I can not inhale the sparkle of your voice

Possibly significant is the sample that appears after the first hook from "The Shooting Star..." - does anyone know where it comes from? It sounds like a Robert Schuller-style sermon. As far as I can make it out: "(Then?) in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, Christ will (return?) in those days for all of us. Events unspeakably strange and startling will occur with amazing rapidity". ...followed immediately by the second "Shooting Star" hook. It might also be helpful if someone could decipher Triune's section.
