I said let's ditch these thrill rides
you haven't smiled since we lost the sun

till this carnival has lost all it's fun
as we left we watched tents from a distance set fire,
and they burned burned down
from here we were safe from the sparks, but I told her to run
she grabbed me by the arm, and kissed me like, "what do you mean?"
I said "i think I should stay here
i just can't abandon this scene."
she said "it still might be home, however, only home sometimes, you can't stay here"
I said, "if you're not with me, then why don't you leave."
