Little Bombs Lyrics
victimous is not a word...
Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but...
I think in the second verse ("I've heard enough of your forked tongue...") it's "I know you like your stabs" instead of "steps." It seems to fit better, IMO.
Anyway, this song in incredible! To me, it's about someone who projects all of their problems onto other people, maybe unknowingly ("How can you think that your crimes are victim less?") (Although when I listen to it, I swear I hear "victimous," leading me to think that the person the song is about thinks that they are the victim, instead of the one committing the "crimes.") It's about someone who refuses to take responsibility for what they do, rationalizing everything they do, and they "ought to know better" than keep dodging the consequences, because they will eventually pay. ("when your lies unwind?")
Also, the line that goes "We all pay in time, so how will you clear your conscience when your clock unwinds?" is painfully clever. I love it.
Wow...just wow. This song is incredible. I think the meaning is obvious dont you think? :)
really good. can't find it on limewire though. need it for an english project.
anywho....i feel like the meaning is pretty clear. but it's a good return to old dashboard, cause i feel like it can be applied to a lot of things, not just the obvious meaning.
I think you're right. How do I edit the lyric?
hmm, i think the second verse says victimous, but the last verse says victim less...but that's just what i hear. and it's stabs not steps, um....let's see...that looks like all the corrections.
neways, i agree with fridgecrisis. this is simply about a person who won't take any responsibility for their actions, and even when people tell them they're obviously wrong, they still refuse to. they're very self-righteous and in the end it's gonna bite them in the ass.
but, dashboard rocks, and i can't wait until they come to my town in concert! def. buying this CD before they do!!
I know, but I swear, that's what it sounds like... "victimous." You kinda get what it means, though. I mean, it's not the first time an artist has made up a word, right?
Not saying it should change, though. "victim less" makes sense (although it's kinda the opposite of what "victimous" would mean) and is probably correct. I guess we'll find out?
This song is gooood :)
This is better than Thick as Thieves, and I'm glad Dashboard have almost gone back to their original acoustic roots. Personally, I think they were the best on The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most.
i absolutely love this song!! and the acoustic-ness of it. i just had a blast-from-the-past phone call, and this is exactly how i reacted to him.
How can you ask for forgiveness, so now you think that your crimes are victim less?
i'm so glad i heard this song today; it's crazy how much it fits how i feel RIGHT NOW.
anyways, this is a great song, definitely better than Thick as Thieves, and i can't WAIT for the The Shade of Poison Trees!!!
