this has puzzled me... I mean.. it COULD be about him pitying someone? Or when he dies he will be happy coz everyone that is still alive still has to suffer living
Sounds to me like he's talking about how death could be better than living in this shit called life. And how if he died he wouldnt have to go through what everyone else is. Kinda like his self aid. But thats just my opinion.
I think this song's about when you stop caring about life, when you're not suicidal but you're not living because you're dead inside... If that makes sense... It's like making the pain go away by not feeling anything. He's looked back and noticed he's gone too far and had too much pain, and now he's in hell...?

When he says the desperate fade to black and it suits me well,it makes me think as if he is saying the lonly,the desperate people that want to be someone in this world but die not making it,they fade to darkness and are consumed by sorrow and ''black''. ''We're all in hell,laughing in your misery'' ---As in,evil feeds off sorrow and sadness. Joy comes from misery to the evil. If this was referring to hell on earth and how he wants to give up on life and etc. why would he be laughing about the sorrow and sadness taking place?
