Autumn Days Lyrics
Stuck in a laundromat
Clutching a photograph of you
God knows who's ready
God don't know you
The blame won't change autumn days
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling
Life in the aftermath
Walking on broken glass
My friends, try walking steady and straight ahead
'Cause the blame won't change autumn days
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling
Live
If you wanted
If you like
If you wanted
If you tried
If you wanted love
You better run
For you life
If you wanted
Because I tried
If you wanted
Because you lied
If you wanted love
You better run
'Cause the blame won't change autumn days
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling
Clutching a photograph of you
God knows who's ready
God don't know you
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling
Walking on broken glass
My friends, try walking steady and straight ahead
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling
If you wanted
If you like
If you wanted
If you tried
If you wanted love
You better run
If you wanted
Because I tried
If you wanted
Because you lied
If you wanted love
You better run
When the sky is falling
Hey, hey
Don't waste one more day
Love the sky falling

I have a hunch that this song is about 9-11. I have nothing but the vague lyrics to back that up, but it's just an idea. "The sky is falling." "Life in the aftermath/Walking on broken glass" I wonder if he was in NY at the time or perhaps just wrote it from that POV.
