Girl With Golden Eyes Lyrics
She speaks to me in Persian
Tells me that she loves me
The girl with golden eyes
And though I hardly know her
I let her in my veins
And trust her with my life
I wish I had never kissed her
'Cause I just can't resist her
The girl with golden eyes
Every time she whispers
'Take me in your arms
The way you did last night.'
Everything will be okay
Everything will be alright
If I can get away from her
And save my worthless life.
I wake up every morning
Jonesing for her love
The girl with golden eyes
I won't have to wait long
'Til she buries me with roses
'Cause she's always by my side
Everything will be okay
Everything will be alright
If I can get away from her
And save my worthless life.
(Spoken Word)
Day one. Dope free. I went to the clinic today and got the first dose of methadone. I'm out of dope so I threw away all my rigs.
Day two. I can't believe it's been two days without junk. Fucking smack, it just ruins peoples' lives. At first it seems so sweet, then you wake up next to a monster.
Day three. I haven't had anything for three days now. This withdrawal is killing me. It's like shock therapy to my guts.
Day four. Last visit to the clinic. My whole body feels like it's cracking into pieces. Fragile doesn't even come close to describing how I feel.
Day five-- I'm sick as a dog, but this handful of painkillers and a lotta whiskey's gonna get me through.
Day six-- When I'm left to my own devices I go fucking insane. I'll never use heroin again.
Day seven-- I can't believe I'm clean!
Day eight-- Everyone says I look better--
Day nine-- The parasites are panicking--
Day ten-- They seem amazed that I'm alive!
Everything will be okay
Everything will be alright
If I can get away from her
And save my worthless life.
Everything will be okay
Everything will be alright
If I can get away from her
And save my worthless life.

She speaks to me in Persian - Persian is a type of heroin Tells me that she loves me The girl with golden eyes-heroin is normally gold colored And though I hardly know her I let her in my veins And trust her with my life-He recognizes that he didn't know what he was doing with the heroin and the drug took over his life.
I wish I had never kissed her 'Cause I just can't resist her The girl with golden eyes Every time she whispers 'Take me in your arms-Illuding to the common injection area. The way you did last night.'-In the morning you feel dope sick and a crazy urge for the drug. he feels like its calling his name so to speak.
Everything will be okay Everything will be alright If I can get away from her And save my worthless life.-when you realize how dependant you are it is depressing. you have no sense of self value.
I wake up every morning-another referance to being dope sick Jonesing for her love The girl with golden eyes I won't have to wait long-He knows its going to kill him. 'Til she buries me with roses 'Cause she's always by my side-Its always around, even when he tries to avoid it.
Everything will be okay Everything will be alright If I can get away from her And save my worthless life.

Everything will be okay Everything will be alright If I can get away from her And save my worthless life. Everything will be okay Everything will be alright If I can get away from her And save my worthless life.
Beautiful song, masterfully written, met the guy at a book signing in seattle. highlight of my year. anyways I'm done, I hope i gave some insight.

Hmm I think this is about heroin. Nikki Sixx's addiction. All the references to "her, she and girl" is the drug.
"And though I hardly know her I let her in my veins And trust her with my life" Saying that he's never tried this drug before, yet he'll try it and he hopes that he won't O/D ??? I'm not quite sure.
"I wish I had never kissed her 'Cause I just can't resist her" He wishes that he hadn't done the drug in the first place because now he's addicted.
"The girl with golden eyes Every time she whispers 'Take me in your arms The way you did last night.'" That's his addiction talking. That part is basically about his craving for the drug.
"Everything will be okay Everything will be alright If I can get away from her And save my worthless life." He's saying that if he can stop using the drug, his life will be better.
"I won't have to wait long 'Til she buries me with roses 'Cause she's always by my side" I think that's about what can ultimately happen to him if he continues using it. He's saying that one day he may take too much and the drug will be the thing that kills him.
Also.. Jonesing is craving or an addiction and jones is heroin.
I've had a similar situation and this song put me to tears.
I adore this song. I think the best part of this song is he takes his actual [I assume,] recordings of the progress of each day. It's so cool how that if you didn't know this song was about heroin use you'd think it was just another sappy love song about some chick. Especially the line 'Take me in your arms, The way you did last night.' It's freakin' amazing.
This is all about his addiction to heroin. In his book, he talks a great deal about the difference between persian and china white. The passages that he reads are also from the book, which is a collection of daily writings while he was spiraling out of control with his heroin addiction.
This, for me, is the one song that sums up the whole album. It's executed perfectly, and the story is deep and moving. The 'girl' speaks Persian, because when Nikki ODed in 1987, it was Persian heroin. "And though I hardly know her I let her in my veins And trust her with my life" Nikki's dealer gave him this type of heroin for the first time, Nikki was drunk and the dealer offered him to shoot him up, causing him to instantly OD. He was then checked into a clinic and that's what the second part of the song describes.
Like ferreusmilitis, I had a similar situation. Mine was with ecstasy and acid though. This song almost makes me cry. Especially the part where he talks like "Day 1, day 2, etc."
Amazing song.
digitalblade is right except that he has done persian before, he said that he shud never of let her in his veins cuz he was addicted to it already.
Heroin, obviously. Duh.
