Having just finished the book, this song stands out to me as being all about Vanity and her impact (negative and positive) on Sixx's behavior during the mid '80s. Especially considering Vanity's current evangelical work, the Pray for Me lyrics definitely point to her!
Sorry Foo Man, but Nikki Sixx isn't the singer, he's still the bassist/songwriter. Nikki Sixx is the one who died twice, the singer is a friend of his.
I think that flame410 was right, cause I just finished reading the book, and in the book he says "all i ask of her, is pray for me" and he's talking about Vanity. If you've read the book you'll see the refferences he uses that are in the lyrics. :] Pretty self explainitory.
Every time I listen to this, it makes me feel like 100 times better about life just because it makes me remember there's people out there that want to help. But like he says "But I'm scared to commit" I also, am afraid to ask for help. Nikki Sixx is amazing, what I think the song means though is that he's going through rehab or something and the nurse is just trying to help but he doesn't want the help even though he needs it. and it's driving him insane. hmmm...
this is a great song by a great band. to me, it kinda sounds like a she wants revenge song.
