Pleasing mind, gratifying kinds
Lend me your ears this instant and hear me out
Come on, come on light your way
Choke on your own vice, your own demise
Flying Virgin drop down, drop dead.

Whoa-oh-oh
Words can hurt like hell
Watch out for those damned requisites
Kick off your shoes and mentality
Mirror book illustrate defined reality

Jump to conclusions or consequences
Plunge to your downfall, comprehending our failure
Missing the unison of existence
Come on, come on despite your pains
Icy depths, sub-zero hearts

Whoa-oh-oh
Words can hurt like hell
Watch out for those damned requisites
Kick off your shoes and mentality
Mirror book illustrate defined reality

Tick tock tick tock
Just a matter of time till it comes
Till it engulfs our divinity
Overwhelming our wisdom, our sympathy

Lyrics to the new album, Mr Ross says this song might arrive as a bonus track because it doesn't actually relate to the theme of their new album.

Anyways, i have no idea what this song is about. lol

I'm liking the lyrics the lyrics to this song than the other songs that are posted on this website and our supposedly for the new CD.

I think if the song's title was "Don't Just Us By How We Look, But by How We Act" instead of what it is, it might sum up the meaning of the song better.

i haven't actually heard this song played but, i think this song has to do with another chuck insperation from lullaby.

Flying Virgin drop down, drop dead.

this has to do with like the first couple pages into the book where it goes on about the flying virgin.

    Words can hurt like hell

just a wilddddd guess but, the whole culling songs and how if you repeat them you kill people?

yeah idk but the song reminded me of it.

i think i got the chorus down kinda:

Whoa-oh-oh Words can hurt like hell (like someone said, the culling song) Watch out for those damned requisites (in the book, he says "words can hurt like hell, watch out for those damn words". .... Kick off your shoes and mentality (there's a part in the book where people arrive at a house and take their clothes off, hmm iduno just a guess.) Mirror book illustrate defined reality (no idea about this line, but this song should be great! haha)

Corpse I Fell In Love With
Gadjits, The
He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
