I'll Be Here Lyrics
I see you walking with the weight of the world
She has a family to feed
She needs a job for the bills
Is it worth it just to scratch and survive
When the mouth that she feeds
Has a father alive?
Is it all a mystery?
Is it all a dream?
You better forget yesterday
Tomorrow, wait and see
As long as night turns to day
(I'll be here, I'll be here)
Just as long as you stay
(I'll be here, I'll be here)
I'll never push you away
(I'll be here, I'll be here)
It's so hard to face it
I know you'll make it with me
I see a man with his back to the wall
Who's been sleeping at night
Under a bridge off the road
What can he do
When the people drive by?
Will they offer him change?
Will they give him a ride?
Is it all a mystery?
Is it all a dream?
You better forget yesterday
Tomorrow, wait and see
As long as night turns to day
(I'll be here, I'll be here)
Just as long as you stay
(I'll be here, I'll be here)
I'll never push you away

i think this song is about a guy who cares for a girl so much that he says he will be there no matter what. He'll be there through everything.
taking out the part about the man with the back to his wall, this song is kinda perfect for any kid to say to their mom who was abandoned by the father.
atleast i think so. i love my mom! haha
yeah i agree with both posts...the part about the guy with his back to the wall completely throws me off though
amazing song...could be about a girl that hes not involved with. the whole "she has a family to feed" i mean it could be a close relative or just a friend in poverty.
whatever its an amazing song nonetheless
I hate this song. i completely love just surrender, just not a fan of this song.
theyre awesome live

i think i understand what it's about...
i think it isn't about one specific girl or person. he's just explaining situations where people need someone to be there for them. such as a woman who had children and then their father left of a homeless man on the street. he says he'll be there for them.
I think it's about a mother/wife with a father/husband who has an addiction of some sort and is lost but still knows his priorities but is overcome by this problem. And she is left picking up all the slack.
He will always still be the husband/father.
