Number Three, Never Forget Lyrics

You've compromised your doctrines.
You've compromised your doctrines.
You've surrendered yourself, yourself to fashion.
Come back to your faith; Come back to grace.
Come back to your faith; Come back to grace.

He sang with us and loved others.
The death of obsession.
The blood relationship, oh, creates such a rotten demise.
Oh Lord. Oh Lord!
Such blackness portrays the love of a machine.
I did not want you to join this culture.
I did not want you to join this culture.

So how can you be so proud?
So how can you be so proud?
Pray to the heavens, with whatever it takes.
With whatever it takes.

I wish to shine this light back upon you.
Back upon you.

It's obvious that apocalyptic barriers.
You've compromised your doctrines.
No mercy to fashion.
You've surrendered yourself now.

[played backwards]
Oh, and yet, I've been cleansed...

TDWP is an awesome band!

This is probably my favourite song from the boys, well maybe "Texas is South" is a bit better, but this song is the best on Plagues.

This song is obviously about a friend or relative who was once a Christian sold himself to the world and it's culture and he is trying to help his friend the way back into the light.

What has man done? They have given themselves away. Ever searching for the next thing. Many people say they love god, believe in god. Yet to believe and to love are different. Satan believes. He does not love. Doctrines. -A principle or body of principles presented for acceptance or belief, as by a religious, political, scientific, or philosophic group; dogma.

We have given away our beliefs. We still sing praises, yet our hearts are not in the words. We have our objects, yet our hearts are not on who gave them to us. And this is where our doctrines were soiled.

So i think this song is when plagues started. People have found that for salvation they must praise god. Why do people only call for help when they need it? One can spend his or her whole life taking advantage of what they have been given and taking everything for granted, yet when faced with death or pain, they revert to their "christian beliefs" this is not belief. This is desperation and once again taking advantage of something you have been privledged with.

" he sang with us and loved others" god has always been with us. he never left. We are no one special. God loves everyone equally regardless of what they have done.

" i wish to shine this light back upon you." you want to live your live for god and god only. you want to give back to him, yet we can never repay him for what he has done for us. a wonderful gift called salvation.
