Pictures Lyrics

Once I read your name
And I heard your stories
Then I just couldn't get enough
Now where'd you go
Cause i've been waiting
To see you right before my eyes

They look so good in the pictures
How come they're not around?
They still live
They're way up high
Where they've been dying out to the world

So now i cross my arms
And i keep my eyes closed
Cause I can barely stand to watch
Now that you're gone
And i have disappointments
Like i could never get enough

They look so good in the pictures
How come they're not around?
They still live
They're way up high
Where they've been dying out
Yeah but they look so good in your pictures
How come they're not around?
They still live
They're way up high
Where they've been dying out to the world

And i will wash my hands
Of all your cheap imitations
As a payment
For all the pain you've given me

They look so good in the pictures
How come they're not around?
They still live
They're way up high
Where they've been dying out
Yeah but they look so good in your pictures
How come they're not around?
They still live
They're way up high
Where they've been dying out to the world

First comment. Really great song...

I think its about how the only memories we have are through pictures. As Kenny says "They Look so good in the pictures" How come there not around? Friends come and go and well yeah.

it also seems like memories and the past are sweet, but they don't mask how miserable the present is. love the line

"so now i cross my arms and i keep my eyes closed 'cause i can barely stand to watch now that you're gone and i have disappointments like i can never get enough"

I think it's about Christ and someone's battle with religion.

"Once I read your name And I heard your stories Then I just couldn't get enough Now where'd you go Cause i've been waiting To see you right before my eyes."

"Yeah but they look so good in your pictures How come they're not around? They still live They're way up high Where they've been dying out to the world."

I asked Kenny Vasoli personally what it meant and he said it was all about the bands that never make it. Like they look so good in the pictures, how come they never made it? How come they never did anything? Deep stuff.
