Going to disagree with you, Dave. This song is about how people worry about all of these huge things and go out to try and find this amazing life, when in reality they have everything need right in front of them, because love and your family is all that really matters and everything else is "so small" and insignificant in comparison.
This is a great new single from Carrie. Her voice is just amazing.. Can't wait until her new album comes out!

this song is about worring about the small things and when you actually see that love is what is really important all the problems arent as big as they seemed at first.
i love the line.. "You better make it count cause you can't get it back" this is so true... you cant spend all your time worrying about the small stuff because you will miss out on what really matters and you will never get those moments back
great song to sing along to... gives you the bittersweet feeling

Basically what Carrie is saying, is that her Uncle never gave her the love that she needed. When her mother neglected her at age nine, she felt unloved. Her father was a great man, and he worked hard hours on the farm. He couldn’t bend the rules and spend more time with her. They would soon need a lot more money to survive. The Uncle was at the house a lot, and never once told her that he loved her. At so, she felt “So Small”.
I really like this song - It's very true. I like the line that says "sometimes that mountain you've been climbing Is just a grain of sand" - I feel that way all the time. You look back onto hard times and realise they weren't that hard!
