The Last Ten Homes Lyrics

A man walks into his cell
And he looks at his story to tell
There are no walls in this place
Just a picture staring him in the face
He said "Hey there, picture
What are you hanging on?
It looks like you don't belong here
Suspended in the air
But you're the one making the call
Without asking what's better for all"

So then he gets out of his cell
And he looks around hoping to tell
His whole story, beginning to end
But the bitter sea likes to be
Hauntingly lonely, making it all the worse
To lose a friend

I finally managed to go to a Mice Parade show and spoke with Adam super briefly, unfortunately while they were packing up. I asked him for a verbal transcript of the last portion of this song. Admittedly, he struggled to remember the last portion at first because of a song mixup he had while trying to recall the song, so there is room for human error both in his recollection/delivery, as well as my hearing, as it was during a transitional stage from concert to club party.

He's up In trees up high Enough, High. (x4)

He's up on higher parts Of the last ten homes Ease up on the fire Seas are burning high! (x2)

And through a friend I managed to hear part of the lowest end. Essentially it just echoes some parts of the first (he's up in trees up) voice:

In trees... (I think I hear another couple of words to follow it, but it's far too deep with all the layering over top to full comprehend)

Hope this helps!

Props to you stewisgood for your tireless research!

One of my favourite songs, but I can't make out the lyrics of the end section. Anyone help?

Maybe my favorite song ever. I have no idea why, but I can't EVER get bored listening to this song. It's been played an embarrasing number of times on my itunes (not counting the times I restarted it before it got to 0:00).

I've only managed to pinpoint exactly what one voice is saying:

"He's up in trees up high up high" x4

i have no idea what the deep voice is saying and I kiiiiiinda have the other main voice pegged. Vaguely. Not really:

"All the higher parts are the last ten homes all the quiet seas (??) are...

not really a correction as it is an addition. like I told Phonophone, one part of the end section goes as follows:

"He's up in trees up high up high" x4
