Secret Crowds Lyrics
If I had my own world
I'd fill it with wealth and desire
A glorious past to admire
And voices of kids out, walking dogs,
Birds, planes, trees and cars
If I had my own world
I'd love it for all that's inside it
There'd be no more wars, death or riots,
There'd be no more faiths, packed parking lots,
Guns, bombs sounding off,
If I had my own world
I'd build you an empire
From here to the far lands
To spread love like violence
If I had my own world
I'd build you an empire
From here to the farmlands
To spread love like violence
Let me feel you, carry you higher
Watch our words spread hope like fire
Secret crowds rise up and gather
Hear your voices sing back louder
If I had my own world
I'd show you the life that's inside it
The way that it glows when you find it
The way it survives with it's families,
Friends or it's enemies
Let's make this a new world
I swear you can go if you want to
I know that you have it within you
Inventing the first clean musical,
God's greatest miracle
If I had my own world
I'd build you an empire
From here to the farmlands
To spread love like violence
If I had my own world
I'd build you an empire
From here to the far lands
To spread love like violence
Let me feel you, carry you higher
Watch our words spread hope like fire
Secret crowds rise up and gather
Hear your voices sing back louder
Let me feel you, carry you higher
Watch our words spread hope like fire
Secret crowds rise up and gather

I think this song is about a world that can be bad, but we can build our own world, and you can take the people you love into the new world you've created that's better than what the normal world is, and carrying that person higher and higher so that they will never, ever fall.
This song is awesome! The new album is gonna be sweet, it seems Tom realized how to make good music again, it's nowhere near as good as blink, but it's still pretty good.
tom said that this might be the 2nd single in nov. wen the album comes out
The song is about being a better person to people you love or just the world in general. Tom wants the younger generation to start a revolution and change how we live, with I - Empire its the second step in creating something amazing, who knows, there could also be a third part aswell.
It's a shame the world over cant feel, and want, what Tom wants in this song. Its and anthem for love among all people and it paints such a beautiful picture of what the world could be like if it was a perfect place.
I cant wait to go to their show and be one of the hundreds of people to "sing back louder"
Favorite one on the album, although it took a few listens in order to appreciate it. Clearly the title track on the album, being how often the word "empire" is used, and it should be too - it's the best one.
I especially like the anthem-style chorus sing near the end.
even my dad loves this song haha. he thinks its a sweet msg and it is. he thinks its their best by far haha
heal or feel farmland or far lands ... or ...
don't you think Tom wanted you to chose that to hear?
Still listening to this in 2018. Love the lyrics. Especially the line "watch our words spread hope like fire" somehow stuck in my mind. I love how these lyrics express that we can actually achieve something through our words and actions. This song's message is so powerful...it definitely gave me hope. All in all this song reminds me that you should never stop dreaming of a better world.
